Passenger Door CLUNK! 2008

Recently, every time I close my passenger door there is a big CLUNK.

It looks like the bushing on the device that holds the door open has worn, and the lever part is moving too far and getting stuck. It makes the door hard to close and very annoying.

By the looks of it, everything is riveted or stamped in place, and the only solution will be to replace the entire top hinge on the door. (EDIT, my mistake , it's the bottom hinge)

Has anyone else had this problem?

Can I get the part anywhere other than a dealer?

Thanks,

Andy

Can you post a pic and circle where the problem is?

Thanks, Here it the photo. as you can see, it looks like the bushing is worn, and the lever that holds the door open is moving too far. Just far enough that is is perfectly aligned to prevent the door from closing. You have to push VERY hard, and then the door clunks when the lever snaps back into place.

I have tried lubing it, but it does not seem to help.

everything seems to be riveted or pressed, so it looks like I will have to replace the entire hinge.

And, sorry, it's the lower hinge , not the upper one as I mentioned in the first post.

Mine just started doing the same thing i the same spot like 2 weeks ago. I put some grease on it and it worked for like 3 days then started clunking again
