Oil Filter access

I always did my own routine service on my old 1997 Grand Cherokee, 4L IL6. The oil filter could be easily reached from the top of the engine on the passanger side. Pictures of the 3.7L engine shows the oil filter under the engine on the drivers side. I have the 2010 Renegade with 4WD and trail rated skid plates. I have not had the new Jeep on a lift, but have laid under the Jeep looking for access to the filter. I can not even find the filter. If I could see it, I wonder if I could access it. Also, checking the transmission, transfer case, and front differental fluid levels does not look easy to access with Jeep level on all 4 wheels. I have no way to have Jeep level and raised off the ground.

Should I simply take my new Jeep to the dealer each 6 months and let them do the routine service? Or am I missing an easy way to reach the filter and fluid level plugs?

The oil filter is easy to get to,located just under the PS pump.Being a '10 you can not check the trans fluid, dealership needs to do this.T-case is to easy,as is the front diff(front skid needs to be removed) but if your not leaking any fluids no real need to check besides the engine oil level and the F/R diffs are 18k drain intervals anyway.

oil change is ez, takes like 20 mins, i just drive the car on the ramps and that gives u enough space to do the engine oil change and front diff oil change. same procedure for the rear.

i can actually sit under the car when its on ramps and spare is removed and im 6'1
