On off vibrating issue... HELP

My wife has a 10' Liberty with 107k on the clock. The other week she was complaining of vibrations all throughout the car while drive between 40-55mph, and she described it like the wheels were out of balance.

So I hopped in for a ride, and after 20 minutes of all types of driving through the city/highway, I felt nothing and left it at that. Today she came home and said it did it again, and she said the whole car was vibrating all over... pedals, steering wheel, floor, and seat. So we went out, and after 30 minutes of driving...nothing. But on the way back home around 45 mph, it slowly started vibrating. I couldnt pin point it where it was coming from, but it started off as a little vibration all throughout the car and got progressively worse with the mph not changing. We stopped at a light, took off normal and it didnt matter what speed, it was there. I put the transmission into second, still there, put it into neutral, still there, put it back into drive, went away.

Any ideas before I take it to the dealership? I really dont want to take a tech for a 45 minute drive before I get a vibration that I cant always repeat.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

I ended up taking it to the dealership after not finding anything out on my own. They said the torque converter is sticking and needs to be replaced. $1200-$2000! So needless to say, its getting traded in tomorrow
