Since were on a another tire thread lol , was wondering if anyone has used Nitto tires? Are they any good? I was looking at I think the Grappler it's an all-terrain tire not a mud terrain. It seems to only come in 265/70 r16. If I were to replace my stock sloppy suspension with OME springs, shocks and struts would they fit or would they rub a bit?

You'll probably have to do the pinch welds and adjust the backspacing a bit to get the hub closer to the center of the rim.

Gas around here is VERY slowly approaching the $3 mark with our local Safeway at $3.05. Wish that diesel would start down for the MH though.
I am looking at a set of Toyo Open country's for mine from Les Schwab. I have run them on all my 4X4's since my '94 Cherokee sport. But then I don't know if they are available on the east coast. The Wranglers on my '11 are just about shot,51K miles and I have a new General on there that someone put on instead of replacing one of the Wranglers with the good spare. I had the dealer I bought it at swap it on to the rear as having a Wrangler and a General on the front wasn't working.

Thanks Ted,

I will either go with a 245/75 or 255/70.

I think 265/70-16s are a similar size to 245/75-16. The 265s are just a bit wider. Either way I think it should fit. Worse case scenario is you pound the pinchweld. As for Nittos....my uncle has em on his F-350. He loves them, and they're really quite(even rolling 90+ mph for hundreds of miles).

Also don't a lot of the Wrangler guys run Toyos and Nittos? I think they're the same brand now, with Nitto being the "cheaper" of the two. Always heard the M/Ts were some of the best out there, don't know how true it is.

Anyone ever do 215/85r16? I like a tall skinny tire. Not sure if I can find a passenger rated tire tho. Any thoughts?

I've heard of one person with that size (drednot). Not to sure it fits unlifted, but it's a size I have interest in.

Whatever he says, with these pictures it doesn't really fit unlifted IMO.

I may be wrong but I was also under the impression KJ could fit bigger tire.

They're about an inch taller than stock 225's. But skinnier. I just figured they'd fit
