Need Help as I'm sitting too close to Air Bag to comfortably reach foot pedals

Dover Dealership, NJ, and Chrysler Customer Care are clueless and online research show aftermarket pedal extensions as awkwardly configured metal framework attached to pedals where clothing could get tangled up, as well as possibly more foot pressure required to press down on pedals due to attached metal framework(?)

Does anyone have an alternative solution? I only need about 2-3" of pedal(s) closeness and think I would feel more comfortable with a product that simply fits over each pedal and is attached by one or two screws, as it would create a Natural feel. Thank you.

Do you have some sort of physical abnormality that we need to know about, or is it just something about the liberty that doesn't seem to be right.
Did you have the same problem on your other cars?

I feel that all Jeeps have a gas pedal that is hard to reach. This has been true for Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Liberty. It just took some getting used to for me. I'm 5'2". I also feel like the gas pedal is much deeper than the brake pedal. But again I got used to it.

I'm 5'2" and got used to it. Try adjusting both the steering wheel and the seat height, angle, etc...at least that's what I did. You have the 6 way power seats right? I think there is an actual reason Jeep designed the pedals this way...not entirely sure why. Lol
