Max tire size?

Hey guys, I'm up for some new tires soon and wondering if I can go bigger. Currently, I have 235/65R17 -- the stock size. Is there any room to go bigger without any rubbing or is that the max size I can go without any rubbing at all?

If the width is maxed at 235 in order not to rub at all, what about height? Could I go with a 75 sidewall without a problem? Does anyone know how many inches taller the difference between a 65 and 75 sidewall is?

Thanks in advance!

I guess it all depends. I got 245/75 on mine with out any issues at all. Some people have issues with rubbing at that size. Its pure trial and error. 235/75 should be fine.

Thanks! Do you know how much bigger a 235/75 is than a 235/65?

If you will simply Google "tire calculator" you can enter anysize tire size to compare one with the other. It will give you all the information you would care to know..including sidewall height, diameter, width, variation in tire RPM, and speedometer differences.
Discount tire offers a good "tire calculator" on their site.
