Liberty Transmission Dipstick

The 2008 and up liberty transmission does not come with a dipstick. Satan (dealership) want you to bring your jeep in to check it.

I ordered one from http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...-/400183926371

According to the shop service manual, the fuel filter is built in with the fuel pump in a fuel module (assembly) and is only changed when the fuel pump fails.
A new fuel pump module comes with a fuel filter. You can buy the fuel pump motor and fuel filter separately, but the module is somewhat difficult to dissassemble

All fluids in the liberty is the life blood of the it performance. I disagree with some of the maintenance intervals the listed. I drive my jeep everyday and the Transmission, rear diff and radiator fluid will be replaced ONCE A YEAR.

Oil, filter and ECU reset every 2500 miles, Spark plugs every 30k miles.

I was somewhat upset to see Jeep did not list the fluid quantity in the owners manual and not at the jeep website click here ---> http://www.jeep.com//hostb/crossbra...hp?topic=12799 then click on maintenance chart

Is that the actual dipstick # if ordered at dealer or elsewhere? My manual states the transmission dip stick tube is sealed and should not be tampered with. Does this mean that Jeep might void the warranty if I break the "seal" and install a dip stick?

I have a 2011 Jeep liberty with 104000 miles. The transmission just started "fluttering" in overdrive so I called JEEP and they said bring it in and well look at it for 90 dollars an hour plus $125 per code they have to check. OK Screw you JEEP. My liberty has had more bugs than a low cost housing unit and they can never. "Reproduce the failure when in warranty". So now they want to charge me. I took it to AAMCO and they ran it on the computer and diagnosed it for FREE. The fluid was dark but FULL and they said they wanted to rebuild it for $1900.00. So I said let me think about it. It does not have a dipstick so I made one out of a hacksaw blade and a wire coat hanger for free while checking the fluid level warmed up and in neutral and also in park with it turned off "Do it with the Jeep turned off first then shorten it to 1/2 inch longer than the fluid line". So now all I have to do it buy RTV Gasket material, Fluid Filter and ATF+4 fluid and do it my self. AAMCO wanted to charge $180.00 for a change or $350.00 for a flush and new filter. MY COST, $48.76. Runs GREAT NOW.
