I get 15.2 doing a 200 customer paper route. I have managed 15.7 towing a 4000# HTT. If I am going on a trip I average 22-23 highway at around 68.

I have the CRD and my stop and go mileage isn't much better than the gasers on the highway maybe mid 20's, but I have a heavy foot. The Liberty really shines when the road conditions are bad or off road, it wasn't designed or built to be an economy car, this is a heavy for it's size suv with a real 4 wheel drive system. The very best mileage run I've had was 1200 miles on 3 gallons of real diesel. I guess that I should also say it was being towed on the back of my motor home.

On the hwy, the best is around 33 mpg on the KJ. In town is averaging 22 to 24.

Won't even discuss what the TJ does.

18.5 mpg for my weekly driving to work 21-22mpg on the highway. BUT it is now winter and I live in Minnesota sooo that damn button on my key fob!!! drops my mpg by about two mpg in the winter.

Then enjoy your gas mileage.

ThunderbirdJunkie's '02 with a lift gets the best fuel economy of any 4x4 he's owned, unless you count the '86 Civic WagoVan 4wd

I have a pretty much stock '05 Renegade (3.7l-Auto. I get:

15-16 city
20-21 highway
15-16 towing 4,000# trailer on highway

Even my supercharged Mustang gets better gas mileage, but its useless for winter, offroad, or towing...

Is your Liberty a CRD because I never heard of that kind of gas mileage before.

The highest MPG I have seen with my 04 Liberty Sport is 19.5 on a tank. That was almost all highway mileage.

On average, without AC and 4WD, I get 18-18.5 mpg.

I drive a lot of highway mileage.... little local mileage. when I have 4WD and/or AC (summer), I get in the 17s
