It shouldn't, since the torque converter still locks up. Just think of it turning into an old Ultradrive 3-Speed of the 80's!

No at lower speeds/around town/back roads its better since the trans will not be searching so much for the right gear
Been using mine since day one like that and over 179,000 miles/ no issues
