I used 4lo to get up the driveway of this house I'm trying to purchase. It a decent grade the snow about 7" and my tires Good Year SRA's with 70k on them 6 mm of tread. Drove the driveway like a champ!

You mean accidentally losing control of your vehicle.

Are you guys driving in "wet" snow? Here in Colorado it's all powder, can't even make a snowball with the stuff and my Duratechs get pretty slippery in the stuff once it's about 8-10" deep. I've had to do some snow shovelling a few times to get out of a pinch on the trails this year but the new winch should help some and I may bet some rear chains as well.

Any opinions/tips to driving in thick powder?

Jeff

Nah. All powder too. I know hat ya mean as far as slipping a bit, but I put it in 4lo to pull into a parking spot and just guided right in without any issues.

I currently have a Fisher minute mount on my TJ, but I will be selling the TJ/plow this summer and putting the Meyer Home Plow on my KK....

It hooks up to a front mounted class 3 hitch...

I was out in it last night in Michigan. First time I have gotten my Liberty into anything really fun since getting it a couple months ago. I couldn't believe how well it did. Most side roads were 8" or so of snow and with the 4wd on I was sailing down them around 45mph. I mashed the brakes and whipped the wheel early on just to test traction, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to stop and turn. Think I ended up passing 4-5 pickup trucks with 4x4 stickers over the course of the night.

I will say something with a Ford front end was right on me while I was going 40-ish down the worst drifted road of the night. We're talking probably up to 12" drifts, but not constant, so you had to slow down a bit entering them, and with the occasional oncoming traffic. Ford was two car lengths back and always right up with me, at one point it seemed like he wanted to pass. Either he was a mad man or whatever he had was a snow monster.... I am thinking maybe an F-250 or 350? Projector headlights, the 3 yellow lights horizontally between them that I have seen some of the fancier Fords with lately.

Probably, it's hard to say. It was night and I was seeing him in the rear view through snow and whatnot. Looks like the light layout.
