I installed my LED tail and reverse lights today. Here are a few pics. The reverse lights are so much brighter!

Better shot of both new bulbs. I wish I had taken a better comparison pic.

Did you look into the electronic flashers at all? It appears to be a relay that would do away with the need for resistors at each light.

I did a search here to see what part would be correct but all I've seen so far are part numbers for the TJ guys.

Upon further investigating, it appears there's not a flasher to be replaced, as part of the design of our vehicles. The only apparent solution is to wire in resistors for each bulb.

For those who have installed relays for the turn signals, did you happen to take any pictures of the install? I haven't looked at the wiring for the housings yet but the directions that came with the resistors doesn't seem very helpful.

the white looks great, where did you get it? what i think i might do is replace both with the white bulb. the white is very bright, and since the lense for the red is already red, using the white would make it much brighter.

I got the bulbs from www.superbrightleds.com. The red doesn't look bright there as its just the tail lights being on. They light up brighter when the brakes are pressed. Don't get white for behind the red lens as your lights will look pink. The rule of thumb with LEDs behind lenses is to always get the color LED of the housing you're putting them into.

Fogs are from CarID. Definitely don't throw far but they are bright. As far as I know they don't stock them anymore. These look to be the same: http://www.amazon.com/9140-Light-Pla.../dp/B00CRUJ0NO

EDIT: found them http://www.carid.com/2008-jeep-liber...-25681402.html (second option)

Reverse bulbs are 3157s

Here are the numbers for everything else:

So a 3157 LED bulb in white is what I need...
Are they plug and play? Gonna trigger any weird electric issues?
I think bright backup bulbs could be a great safety related upgrade for me.

Completely plug and play. I've had no issues with my reverse lights but the brake lights I had burned out quickly. The only issue I had once was a reverse bulb fell out of the socket. They're not the tightest of connections (at least the ones I bought) but it wasn't damaged.

Thanks for the response. Which brand did you choose?
I wanna get them at the local speed shop down the road. I'd like to stick with the Putco brand if they carry them. Hopefully this costs less than $40.
