Leak

Hi Fellow KK's,

Have an 08, and I noticed water on my rear cargo area several times. Thought it might be the weather stripping around the satellite antenna so I sealed it with clear silicone.

Lo and behold we had some more rain here in NJ and I have more water on the rear cargo cover.

Has anyone had this problem and been able to isolate the leak? If so I'd be grateful for any help in solving this problem myself without taking it to the dealer.

Thanks,
Rich

When this happened to me it was the weatherstripping around the rear hatch door. I pulled it off, slathered it in RTV silicone, and reinstalled. Haven't had a problem since. Also, keep an eye on your rear glass while driving in the rain. If there is water on the inside, you may need to install a strip of weatherstripping on the inside top of the hatch glass. There are TSBs about both of these issues over on LOST.

I had the same issue. The dealer had to replace the glass latch 3 or 4 times along with the window seal and added a little gutter looking strip across the top of the glass. The window seal is different from the original and a new one would probably fix the problem.
