KK vibration at 80km (40mph)

Hello, I have just taken a KK cherokee for a test drive. Driving was Ok until I hit 80 km/h about 40 mph, then I felt a juddering through the transmission.
It felt like driving over rough tarmac. below 80km was fine and over 80km was fine. The salesman says it is a torqueconverter hunting issue and they all do it.
I am looking to replace my 1994 cherokee which does not judder. I believe the transferbox is the same model isn't this the torqueconverter?
The Cherokee was a petrol auto 2010 model 100km (75miles) on the clock.

Have been back to the dealer twice with only to hear "could not duplicate". 40 mph and up always there have 20,000 + now.

I feel the exact same thing in mine around 40 mph, but then I realized it was on the same road in the exact spot each time. Don't know if it's my Jeep or the road now??

@ 30,000 miles have you had a wheel alignment, tire balance?

Nope, balance should not change unless a tire goes bad or a weight comes off and tires are wearing pretty even..You can tell this is a mechanical issue when it happens. It feels sort of like driving into a strong wind and it's trying to push you backwards. Then it goes away...
