KK Satellite Antenna Install

Anyone ever installed an aftermarket satellite radio antenna on a KK? Or is there a provision on the roof mounted antenna for satellite reception?

Thanks in advance

Don't know about earlier models but the 09 KK satellite antenna is built into the roof antenna and includes a pre-amp there. The 09 roof antenna has two coax outputs, satellite and broadcast. I'll have to check the wiring diagram if all 09s were set up this way or just those with satellite radios.

First, I bought the mygig on ebay, the antenna at radio shack for $40( bestbuy sells them for $30).

The antenna (pic below) has a very strong magnetic base. I mounted the antenna on the driver side roof. The coax cable is thin enough to be routed behind the window seal, through the door jam and into the cabin to the radio.

Do not mount the antenna above the radio, by the wind shield or anywhere inside the vehicle
