2009 Liberty Questions....

2009 Liberty Sport KK with Sky Slider Roof
Added...
Skid Plates Kit
Off Road Lights
Front and Rear Tow Hook
Firestone Destination AT Tires
Blacked out the Hood and Headlights

2 Questions...
1- Any one know any decent spots I can take her off road near NYC, preferably close but southern, maybe in NJ?

2- I have not put on the fuel tank skid plate since I need to take the old one off...has anyone done this yet?

Yeah, I probably could but I would not be able to lock out fully without rubbing.
It would be a tight fit

I drove my KK to the top of a scenic overlook a couple days ago. It's not much of a hill to climb, but it was fun! Plus the view at the top is amazing as you can see for miles. Kinda had to tell, but just 15 feet in from of my Jeep is about a 1/3rd mile drop straight down!

I have the answer to our second question:
Gas tank skid how-to: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB...?f=104&t=50745
Yes, I have done this install. Hard to do by yourself, but not impossible if you put the Jeep on jack stands and then use your OEM jack as a third arm to raise the skid into place while you bolt it down. I recommend waiting until you have a helper, and a nearly empty gas tank. The instructions on LOST are excellent. You will need the ratchet straps.

Someone answered the second question. As for the 1st, not much in NY. The beaches on the island are legal with the permits, rausch creek in PA, not sure about NJ, but I think the pine barrens and some other stuff is legal. While on LOST check out a few of the sections. We post up about going out alot and you're welcome to join.

My turn

JBA 4" Lift Kit with all the assorted goodies is came with.
Breather Extenders Bellows
Closed off Front Facing intake for Airbox to the rear and feed in from the cowl.

Next steps...

Need to new tires, damn things have no grip for getting over logs. Went to Jeep Beach 2013 and the only thing I couldn't do on the obstacle course was the spaced logs due to no gripping.

Fog Light kit install

LED Light bar

Also planning on front end recovery system, either detours winch backbone or going all out an getting atthehelms. Still debating this one.
