and like i mentioned, you dont have to drill at all if you dont want to. Below is a picture of my rig with two different antennas installed. One screwed in using the firestik (CB) and another antenna for VHF/UHF that is magnetic. Wiring is the same except the wire comes out of the vent and up and out of the gap between the liftgate and the roof. You can see the magnetic antenna on the right side, the little silver thing. Wish i had a better picture.



Plus someone on here once said "A jeep isn't truly yours until you put your first hole in it!"

I love the way you installed the antenna, but I'm having a problem finding a good spot for the cb itself----does anyone have any interior pics of your cb's?

I found the cobra 75 wx st. It is the whole cb in the mic--- what a space saver.

The picture looks funny because I used a 360 panoramic app that stitches a bunch of pictures together. Doesn't work so well in such tight spaces... Clearly. Haha.

The gauge above my vents is an altimeter that happens to fit nice and snug in that space.

No, I have a CB( on the right), a uvh radio for fire/ems ( on the left) and a handheld radio also a uvh radio in that little hole in the center console that is kinda useless. Tho it does fit that handheld quite nicely.

I know that this is an older post but having issues with tuning my cb with this exact setup. I am holding steady at 2.8 swr on both channel 1 and 40, i had both the quick disconnect and the heavy duty spring and swr were above 3 with both then down to 3 when removed the disconnect. does painting the mount cause any issues with this?
