Bad news dudes... Looks like its gonna be next week. I need to buy a 3.25" straight through adapter and no parts stores have it. Seems like it may be a K&N specific part (PN 08690) I'll be ordering today

At least it's a fairly inexpensive adaptor. Can't wait to see if this works!

I just don't know if I can wait for it to ship all the way from Cali. Does anyone have a safe, temporary alternative? MacGyver?

I'll check HD today at lunch and see if I can find something. I don't want to use pvc because it will not bend enough to clamp the intake tube to the TB and might allow air in. Still no shipping confirmation yet and I ordered the part early yesterday morning... California time I guess

They have rubber adapters. Look at the drain piping.

What are your installation plans as far as the Hypertech goes? Are you just going to unhook the battery or reinstall the Hypertech? Good luck!

The new throttle body has the same electronics as the current TB. The only difference is the diameter of the throttle passage. I do plan on disconnecting the battery while doing the replacement in order to reset the PCM (and also because I love redoing all of the settings on my radio) but I do not plan on reverting to stock with Hypertech and then reinstalling the tune

So for some reason the k&n hose wasn't the right size. I'll be returning it but I was able to find an adapter at home Depot that fit. First test drive I didn't go over 35 but throttle response seems slightly improved and for the short time I had it at WOT it felt a little ballsier. I'll be on the highway tomorrow on my way to work so I'll update in the morning. Once the PCM relearns my driving habits I'll update with mpg changes

I'm almost positive reinstalling the tune would does the same thing as disconnecting the battery. Not 100 percent though. Keep your stock throttle body with you somewhere for the first month I'd say just in case the Jeep all of sudden goes haywire and in limp mode or something stupid.
