KK 3.7 same as WK/XK 3.7?

Just wondering if these engines are the same. I understand that there will be some differences but the more specific reason why I am asking is because of this thread that I saw over on the WK/XK boards...

Would love to do this if possible

Agreed. This sounds like an upgrade that would actually yield some real results if it works.

btw just read where its a throttle body for 2009 Durango or Dakota 4.7L engine. Just gotta find me one on the cheap for testing purposes. Someone posted they dyno tested it and got 10-15 hp below 3500 rpms. They also said at higher altitudes it would throw codes. Probably too lean at higher rpms unless you threw on bigger injectors. I live in florida to altitude is not a problem. question would be what happens when you lay on the gas real heavy. thinking possible stall but its worth a test to find out.

Trick here is to find one with the wider intake. All the 3.7 will be the same size. Gotta find one of the 4.7.

No trick. Part number 53032837AB is the one that will fit the 4.7. You can find them new for around $150. Personally I'm just going to steal the one out of my roommates 4.7WK

Not really. He has an 06 which is still DBC. You need to get 08 and up. That is when Jeep made the change to DBW

I found a used one from an '11 RAM 1500 4.7 for $100 that I picked up on eBay. Will update when I get it in and install it. If it doesn't work I can always resell it and get my money back. It looks to be in excellent condition.

Do you have a cold air intake? If this works, I am going to be so excited to see how it reacts to the Hypertech which I see you have, too.

Yeah, I have the K&N CAI. Hopefully I won't need an adapter from the intake tube to the new TB. What I've heard reading thru the JK forums, it definitely helps out throttle response. I even saw dyno results that showed +21HP/+34TQ on the 3.8.
