Just put new tires on

So I just had my new tires installed. I put on 245/75/16 Hankook Dynapro ATm RF10's. Stock height. So far no rubbing at all. Full lock nothing. Some nasty bumps, nothing. I will post pics tomorrow. Way to dark out here to do it now.

Yeah. I was amazed. I was expecting at least mild rubbing. But then again it is only a few months old so the springs are still new.

Thank God I have someone saying that those will fit stock. Why on earth would we need to lift the Jeep to fit a tire that fits stock. I have heard this twice on this site now. I still think that 265/75R16 will fit with a small lift/leveling kit. Post a picture, I would love to see how it looks with that size tire and no lift.

Could you possibly check the clearance behind the front tire and the upper control arm? I am thinking about going to 265/75R16 and everyone thinks that they will rub the UCA. I know this will require a small leveling kit but it is not much larger than the 245/75R16.

I can fit my hand in between the tire and uca but it does touch both. I don't have to force it in there but it does touch both. So that is about an inch more take than give.

Here are some pics. Also I am selling the stock goodyears if anyone wants them.

Looks great man. I always loved a full wheel well on a truck or SUV. I plan on a small spaced lift with 265/75R16 tires. Already have them picked put too. Cooper ATP's. Great tire and at $597 out the door what a deal. I may have to use 1/2" wheel spacers though. We'll see? Nerf bars look good too.

You all are so funny
Sure some larger tires will fit if only going to the mall
But you have a Jeep not a mall crawling wanna be suppose to be something or other
AND I know for a fact that with even a fairly new KK and Daystar spacers 265-75s will fit But I wouldn't want to drive it 500 foot or try to cross a curb
ALSO you need to regear for that size regardless
why does it take some so long to learn
common sense and listening to what others say will save you $$$
One of my good friends has a KK, Daystar lift and 245-75s works great on and off road yes he does wheel it as often as he can

SR-A. They aren't bad on the highway. They handle good in the rain. Or on good packed trails. Got buried in a slick grass field after it rained. Mud is pretty much out. And snow not so much either. Got stuck in 4" of wet snow in march. Slush is a killer.

I have already taken my new treads off road. No bumping or rubbing. I trail blasted them at 20-30 mph. Fine so far. I do plan on lifting but new tires were more important with the impeding snow. Trust me I know about a true jeep. I had mine off road a month after I bought it. Bone stock. My friends thought I was crazy.

I am going to buy a sticker for my Jeep. It will read "It's a Jeep thing and I still don't understand." Tommudd wants everyone to buy a $25000 vehicle put $2000+ worth of lift, tires, etc. on it and roll it down the biggest hill he can find. Or break an axle, blow the trans, and dent three body panels just to say it a Jeep thing. I like the response that you have had this vehicle out on the trail with no rubbing. The Jeep looks great and performs well enough for guys that like to "play" every once in awhile. And proving that it can all be done on a budget is even better. Not all of us veal out money to throw at a vehicle. I love to hear when a guy can get the same results for a few hundred that a guy that spent several hundred can. Again the Jeep looks great and I am glad to hear that your 245/75R16 fit without rubbing. Happy "Trails."

SOMEDAY
you may have a clue to what you ramble on about!
You can lift for 750-800 and run 245-75s easy
but if you want to go bigger you need a bigger lift and gears
IF YOU WANT TO DO IT RIGHT
problem is you don't want to and then will be upset with the final results

kids
