Alright so it is still a work in progress but basically when I switch on the lights, a voice will come over the car radio and state....Zombie mode....activated. It is absolutely pointless but still pretty cool. Will work with my aux wiring for my ipod. Details to follow.

Ha ha!!! Nice. Need to rig it to a PA speaker so the audio plays outside the truck.

So, you guys just threw some 2" lag bolts straight into the plastic bumper and it stays secure? I'd love to do this, paint matched and all....

Anybody have issues with the thing coming loose just screwed into the plastic?

Joe you have to remove the bumper and drill into the metal bumper. Then insert the bolts and cut the plastic bumper to fit the new bar.

Obviously this is the most secure way. However, mine and several others simply have it screwed into the plastic. Grill keeps it secure. Mine has been on for over a year now and is still as tight as the day I put it on. That many thousands of miles doing 70+ MPH on the highway and as a DD on the pothole ridden streets of NYC.

If you want it done the right way, then remove the bumper and secure it to steel. But for me who is not that mechanically incline an who did not want to tackle the task of removing and getting the bumper back on then just bolting through the bumper was more than sufficient. For me who does have the hopes and plans of putting one of Morgans bumpers on in the near future I really didnt want the hassle.

Plus, absolutely zero bounce of the light on the roadway. I had lights on my old bronco secured to the push bar and every bump shook the beam all over the road. You would think that these lights are stock mounted on the truck that's how steady the bar/lights are.

What did you use to secure it to the bumper? Did you just drill a hole into the bumper and then screw into that hole?

Used four lag screws (believe 1/2" x 1 1/2" but was a while ago so not 100% sure-been a while). Had to cut the bar a little so it sat under the grill. That it!

I did mine sorta in between the 2....I put giant washers(biggest I could find at local Ace Hardware) and nuts on mine so I did not have to cut up the bumper, but its a whole lot more solid than just bolts in the plastic. With the grill holding the back part as well, it does not move at all.
