Looking good man. Can't wait to see it mounted. Also, are you going to use the relay? I wired mine up without it and was wondering how you were going to set yours up.

Yea I was going to just do it how the directions stated. What is the difference operationally if it is connected or not?

Not real familiar with playing with these wires!

I'm from Lindenhurst, my friend with a 4" lift is from Lindenhurst as well, idk if he has an account on here. We have a friend from Bethpage with a 4" lift as well. And if rescue's info is right, then he is from Glen Oaks lol.

They worked like a charm.

Oh man I do not know the exact size sorry man but this is a picture of the exact bolt I used. Picked it up at Home Depot.

Yea I went to home depot last night and matched up the head of the bolt so I believe it was a 3/8 bolt of that makes sense but the shortest they had was 2". It was like twice the length of the stock bolt. We're the bolt you bought longer?

As we are on the subject of JK Bars and Offroad Lighting, I figured I would post some pictures of how to upgrade the Hella 500s from 55W to 100W. It is extremley easy to do. Thanks to VegasDragger45 for the insight

First, the 100W bulbs can be purchased from many auto parts stores. The bulb you are looking for is H3 100W.

http://contentinfo.autozone.com/znet...-100W/image/2/

The first thing you need to do is unscrew the plastic black tab at the base of the light.

The tab folds down and you just need to pull apart the actual light from the housing. It came apart extremely easy.

Once the light is out, you will see the two connections for the light. They are super simple and very self explanatory. Pry the connections off and release the light from the bracket. You just need to apply downward pressure the one side of the bracket and it should hinge open so you can remove the bulb.

Replace the old bulb with your new one, making sure not to touch the glass on the bulb, and repeat the steps in reverse. Close the hinge that secures the light, attach the wiring, put the light back in the housing, and screw in the plastic tab. It took me about 7 minutes to do both lights.

They make a huge difference compared to the 55W. Will post pics of the lights on soon.

I am pretty sure it was the 2 inch bolt. It is only going through the plastic bumper so the length i'm sure won't be too much of any issue. If anything you may hit the steel frame and make it super secure

Hey.....when you ran your switch, what did you ground the switch to? Something under the console or under the dash?

I grounded mine to the ground on the cigarette lighter and it works with no issue.

I think it was something under the console. I don't remember where exactly.
