jeep green KK with black grille put on, what do you think?

whats up, currently i have a 08 jeep green lib...i have a black grille guard on the front and black sport utility bars w/ a black fairing with a jeep sticker thrown on there for fun...im thinking about changing the grille from the green that is on it to black.. and then attempt to blackout the headlamps like the renegade...what u guys think? has anyone ever done that? if so pictures? i can pick up a black grille from ebay motors for bout $150, but have no clue where to get the replacement black out lamps..any one know?

The lamps you should be able to do yourself by putting them in the oven, prying them apart, painting the housing then sealing them back together.

for 2011 there is a "Jet" option package that has blacked-out headlights. See if you can pick up a pair of those.

I fail to see why this is a good idea, or how it improves the function of the headlights.

^Who said anything about improving the function of the headlights? Its just for appearance. OP if your willing to try, Ill give you step by step instructions on how to do it yourself and save some $$$. Ill probably do it to mine once it gets warm outside.
