Ignition cylinder Lock removal?

Key wouldn't turn so I looked around here and found the thread that says tap it with a rummer mallet. So tapped it a few times with a rubber hammer and it turns fine now.

Only problem is that now the key wont come out.

I have the covers removed like the Dorman video instructs, but they say there is a hole underneath the cylinder housing to put something in to release the cyliner from the housing but there isn't on my 08 Liberty.

Any clues?
