I gotta ask

What are the differences between a Libby and a Nitro? The reason I'm asking is because I received a Nitro for a company vehicle. I'm 99.9% sure they're the same platform, but they have some subtle differences that I can't quite put my finger on. If anyone would be so kind as to enlighten me, I'd appreciate it

Besides some sheet metal and interior they are the same as far as the 3.7 V6,trans,suspension,and diffs. The Nitro also does not have a 2 speed t-case,just a AWD system and has the option for the 4.0 V6.

My Nitro has 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel lock. I haven't crawled under there to identify the transfer case though. It's definitely not all wheel drive. It wheel hops worse than my 249 in my ZJ.

The body lines are subtley different. The biggest thing I notice is the shape of the wheel wells. The Nitro's are round and the Liberty's are trapezoidal. That and the vent in the fender(nitro) vs. the hood(jeep), and the poppable back glass in the jeep.

Are the windows taller on the Libby? They all appear that way, but I guess it could be the body lines playing tricks on my eyes.

I think they are taller and the rear is not as wide. To that they add the painted black "C" pillar.
