Here's the definitive answer to my question: The fog light kit DOES work on the '12 Liberties.

The physical install went well with no hitches; and today, my local Jeep dealer activated the fog light circuit for a cost of 1 hour of labor (even though, I'm sure it took no more than 10 actual minutes).

I'm a happy camper.
