I hear ya, I've been checking for dirt and haven't found any. It doesn't seem to plug though which probably means it's letting dirt go by.

12 city, 17 highway. I'm hoping to get back up to around 19 to 20 mpg highway if I can save up enough to regear to 4.10s. Some of the lifted KJ guys have seen that kind of improvement when they swapped diffs from 4-cylinder KJ's.

Have your corrected your speedometer? If not then your HUD is giving you numbers that are slightly worse than your true MPG.

I haven't corrected the speedometer but using my GPS I've figured out that my speedometer/odometer reads low now by 2%. (Or, to put it another way I travel 2% further or faster in reality than the odometer or speedometer reads because of my larger tires.) The mileage numbers I am reporting have been corrected for the difference.
