Is This A Good Deal?

Guys,

I can pick up a 2012 Jet with 6,400 miles for 23,900 with the skyslider, does this seem to be a fair deal? I'd have to drive two hours so I may not have any room to negotiate.

It seems to be a 50/50. I really think they make a difference.

I wouldn't ever want a skyslider because of all the issues I've heard about them. Besides that, a rack is way more useful.

Sounds like a fair deal, but that's still a lot of money no matter how you look at it. Also know that the Jeep won't ride as nice with the Jet rims. So far it seems to be hit or miss if people like the sky slider.
If we can help you out with any information about it, we can answer just about anything you can think of.

Love my skyslider if it helps. Also is it a 4x4? I'm assuming so. I wouldn't say it's super high, but it's high to me. I'd throw 20k out there and see where it goes lol. I think brand new went for 30k or so. So 5-6k for driving off the lot then 6k miles? Up to you.

Sounds like a bit much . The trade in on these vehicles is really bad . If u bought it and traded it in your gonna be somewhere between 15 and max 17k . I know I tried trading in my 12 sport a few months ago and was offered between 13-15k I didn't do it since I still owed 25k .

Yes, it's a 4x4. I did test drive a jet last weekend, and they actually wanted 25k. I laughed at the guy and they didn't budge. Though I did get the follow up phone call the next day, but I've moved on. Rule number 1, never fall in love with any one vehicle. So it sounds like I should be only offering 20k?

Depends on the options but I wouldn't pay 23k for a 2 year old vehicle. If it was new that'd be a fair price.

20k would be a better price.

What color is it? Try to find out all the options it has, too.

It's mineral gray. Wow, I told the dealer 20k and they said not going to happen. Trying to work out a higher trade for my max but they don't seem to willing to budge. It's got everything but the uconnect system. I really don't want to drive two hours to be let down. Thinking maybe I'll pass. I love the mineral gray too.

I got my '12 mineral gray sport in July for $19k with a little over 5,000 miles on it. It has the Uconnect and a moonroof, tow package and Mopar skids.

Never buy a sky slider, look a few forums down and you will see why.

Man, the skyslider is definitely a love/hate. I'm really in love with it, but I guess I'd be rolling the dice. Here is the vin... VIN: 1C4PJMFK4CW184856
The car fax came out great, and I think I can buy at 20k, I'm leaning towards pulling the trigger.

I know not everyone has problems with them, some leak some don't. They do make a little more noise driving down the road, depends on how windy it is outside and how fast you are going.
