Gas over filling when filling up- Please Help!

I was filling up my 2008 jeep liberty, and walked away to check my oil. I heard the gas overflowing. The automatic shut off to the pump didn't work. Then I trying a different gas station and the same thing happened. So no matter where I go my gas tank over flows when I try to fill it all the way up, and the gas pump never clicks off to let you know that itís full. Can anyone help me with this?

Interestingly enough...I noticed that the spring activated covering on our 08 kk is gone. Think this is a problem? Of course it happened when it was under warranty, but now with 40K on it that no longer applies.
