Front license plate mount?

Ive searched and found a few threads around regarding this but no solutions. Im searching high and low on the net to find out how to mount a front license plate to the bumper. I just moved from a state that requires 1 plate(where i bought my jeep) to one that requires 2.

I noticed there are dimples in the bumper for drilling references but not sure what mounting solutions there are. Anyone have any solutions? Trying to save a trip to the local dealer.

It sounds like these have the same kind of "plastic" fascia as the MK's. They just use a plated 1/4" self tapping screw.

Worst case if it does come out ill simply pull the bumper, and put a thin piece of wood behind the 2 holes to drill into but ya it could come better from the factory but i guess "Its a Jeep Thing"

None of the MK's are drilled. Here's a link http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f98/p...ctures-696793/

Alright, so all I need is some 1/4" self tapping screws and drill the holes and screw it in. I guess thats easy enough.

Nice touch .

But some states will not allow the air deflector plate mod.

dealer drilled rigt into my bumper in cali because of needing two license plates which was completely retarded since there was no license plate holder like on most cars...its really aggrevating to see the holes in my bumper...dmv only sent me one plate anyways and I dont have an issue driving with one plate.

that's BS! I would go back to the dealer and tell them to FIX the bumper since the dmv only presented one plate...... WAIT let me guess the front plate is the dealer's advertisment plate right?... anyways, I work for a dealer and we NEVER mount up the plates untill we get the plates in hand and see how many there are. ALSO.. if you just bought this vehicle you will be getting a "CSI" survey letter in the mail, if you unhappy with anything from walking in to talking delivery, you can burn them on the survey...

When I purchased my -08 Jeep KK, I burned the sales dept. because I felt rushed, not welcomed, and I felt like they just wanted to make the sale and never see me again. also when I was taking delivery they handed me a "we owe" form and if there was anything wrong with the vehicle they will take care of it ASAP, well.... at delivery, their was a scratch on the rear trailgate chrome piece near the spelling of Jeep it was about 5 inches long and they said bring it by on monday at 7am and will already have ordered you a new one. I brought it in and it took them over 6 hours to replace that chrome molding (luckly I was NOT waiting there) I called after the 6th hour and said WTF, they claim that they went through the inventory of all the KK's they had and they all have scratches. BS!!!! finally I got a new one put on around 4pm. come to find out that a NEW chrome piece was never ordered.

I'll never visited that dealer again, There is one a 15 miles away from my house but I'm treated very well there! (it's worth the extra drive)

just my .02
