Front End Squeak - Worn Out Bushings?

My 08 KK has 50,000 miles on it, in colder weather the front end, when going over speed bumps, driveways has a loud squeak noise.

If I push down on the hood/fender to compress the suspension the noise does not happen.

I have read this might be the sway bar bushings? ..Any way to check this on my own, without involving the dealer. All the parts look very cheap and easy to replace.

I had the same problem, sprayed wd-40 between the bushing and the sway bar, road tested, noise gone, replaced the bushings, about $20.00 each and easy to do.

yes, make sure you spray the bushings and I also spray the bushings of the lower control arms, upper control arms, and the little sway bars on each wheel. It lasts awhile before it squeaks again. I've come to find out that they squeak when it's really cold, even though the bushings aren't worn out. But I'd still spray them

Spraying the bushing is for diagnostic purpose only, not a fix. If you spray all the bushings Under the jeep all at once, you can`t tell wich bushing was bad.Start with the sway bar bushings making sure the lubricant goes between the bushing and sway bar ( push a small screwdriver in there to make an opening in wich to spray ).If that is ok then spray another part and road test again intil you get the bad part then change the part as the lub will last a day or so.

Ok. Well I'm just saying that's what I do because I know for a fact my bushings aren't bad. They just make noise when it's really cold out (meaning -30). So I was just simply saying how I get mine to stop squeaking and that all of his bushings might not be bad.

Thank you for the replies.
I live in Tampa bay area in Florida. So "cold" to us is less than 70.. This is also when the noise/squeak comes up, I really only hear it when we have a cold front.
