Yes you have to remove the bumper to install it, there just isn't any other way I can come up with thats strong enough.
They ship bare steel. Shipping anything heavy and awkward like that is tough if its painted or p coated.

...and after more than a year, I'm going to bump this. AtTheHelm is building an awesome product (with some great parts )... and we really do think alike.

Thanks Fawkes!

Fawkes Fab supplies those shackle tabs to me which slide perfectly into the 3"x3"x.25" tube. They are also going to be used on my new shackle mounts.
