Dipped Wheels + more....

Hello everyone, I'm a new member to this forum and hope to share my experience with other fellow Jeep owners. I currently have a 2012 Jeep Liberty JET....Any who, to anyone who hasn't gotten into dippin', here is the finished product of my Jeep. Dipped everything that is chrome, except the roof rails.

Very nice fellow KK'er! Welcome to the forum! I've always loved a good mix of matte and gloss blacks, you nailed it! I'm just getting into the dipping recently, going to be spraying my whole KK soon. As for your JET, you have any other mods done, or mods planned for the future?

So far those are my only mods, plus smoking out my rear lights lol. Next is LED light conversion for the interior, as well as running boards and HID DRL's. Also looking at other headunits as the 730 is really outdated. Looking at a few Pioneer's AppRadio3 HU's or Kenwood's DNN990HD.

Thought about doing some performance upgrades, but that seems like a dead-end as far as results.

Thanks! I am still researching both HU's as I am intrigued by the Data-Link "extension" Kenwood is working on in order to bring seamless integration with UConnect. I know steering wheel controls can be integrated using specific modules, but I am also looking into iPhone integration, which seems Pioneer has the upper hand in.

Looks Great! I'm waiting for that i-data link also. Wish they would get it sorted out.

Thanks for the comments fellas. I actually just ordered a can of the Glossifier Plastidip, as I am gonna try them out on the wheels.

I really hope they release the i-datalink this year, as I am getting kind of desperate on upgrading the HU. Taking the car to get dynamat-ed this weekend as I am facing some annoying rattles from the passenger speakers. Took it to the dealer but they can't do anything about it...

Any advice as to what sort of bulb kit to order for the headlights. I saw that some people used the Sylvania Ultras, but upon further research it seems the PIAA Xtreme White Plus blow them out of the water.

Recently upgraded to the Ultras, definitely satisfied with them, especially compared to factory bulbs. I think the guy at auto zone said something about those PIAA bulbs being obnoxiously and blinding to other cars, getting to be close to the blue light, trying to be like an HID or whatever. But he was not very helpful, he seemed to be in a rush to empty garbage cans or something behind the desk... Never personally looked into it, I went in pretty set on the Ultras already.
