So I was bored at work and decided to play. I just put 245/75's on and wanted to check the flexing and rubbing issue more in depth. These piles of dirt/stone are roughly 4ft tall. They were dumped there from a 12 wheeler. I would have kept going but the pos aftermarket hitch kept digging into the ground. Looks like I will he looking for a new hitch. Any thoughts on the best aftermarket one? I have the curtis right now.
You do realize that you'd need to approach that pile at an angle to test your "flex" or rubbing?
Rubbing, especially the front, can happen through all positions of the tire relative to the wheel well.
Up, down, lock through lock. Not just a single plane when the tire is straight.
Not tryin to be an @$$ I'm just asking.
How's this? That dryer up against the wheel in the last photo is 40 inches long. And the tire is roughly 30.5 inches. So almost ten inches off the ground. Thank gos for need bars or I never would have been able to get in/out to take pics.
Yeah. Stock and 245's. It has about 12500 miles on it since I bought it in march. So its decently wore in too. I am not complaining. I will eventually add a lift. Just have to wait until I make a good friend with a garage and nothing else better to do lmao.
I am actually going out tomorrow. Meet another guy in the wheeling neighborhood section and we are meeting up to hit some trails.
