Banging Noise in Rear of KK

So i have this Banging noise in the read end of my KK. This ONLY happens when going off roading and sometimes over speed bumps at speeds over say 10mph. The noise is kind of like a thud, it doesnt sound like metal on metal or anything. It happens when going over rocks and holes in the ground. I took a quick look and everything seems tight. I did notice on my Shock Boot if i squeezed the bottom of the boot that some water came out which i got it all out. I dont know if this would cause it. Any ideas?

Wonder if the rear coils are impacting the bump stops.
Time to upgrade the shocks and coils etc..then...stockers are kinda weak.

well im running a daystar spacer with stock coils and SkyJacker 2.5" Shocks. The spacers have been in for about 5K miles. Im thinking maybe the coil and spacer seperate and thats causing the bump noise

I had to track down a similar noise on my other vehicle (2003 Mustang Cobra) and I had a buddy stand outside the car while I rolled over the speed bump- we were able to isolate the sound that way. Maybe give that a try?

ya it happens 100% of the time when offroading even at low speeds and not as often when going over speed bumps. I was going to try this but being in NY you know its gettn pretty cold here in MA and the snow is on the way

Loose shocks? I had a similer thing with my Dodge pu and a turn on the shock mount bolt was all it took.

Problem Solved. The bushing on the top of the shocks isnt wide enough for the bracket it goes into. Picked up 4 washers from the hardware store and put 2 on the inside of each bracket with the shock so there was no play and problem solved.
