Arctic is home!

So i just picked up my arctic edition in white! The only two small things i dont like about it so far is the crappy headlights and the fact that it wont tell me the gas mileage but both small things. I can just replace the bulbs with better ones and probably for the best i dont get to see how bad of mileage i am getting! lol I will take a couple pics and post tomorrow! Im glad that i can finally say i have a JEEP!

Congrats!!

Must post pics!!

as for the headlight bulbs, I would recommend a quality HID kit, have yet to find any bulbs that are actually brighter...maybe just whiter...and then they won't last (I'm waiting for the weather to warm up to install my HIDextra.com kit)

i agree that HID's are the way to go but i had the philips crystal visions in my lancer and i noticed a big difference, the distance was about the same but much brighter. How much did you get the HID kit for?

I swapped to Silverstars in my '08 Libby and found them to be noticeably brighter than the stock ones. Not HID level bright, but I got a good extra 30 feet of forward light throw out of them on just the low beams. Highs were shockingly bright compared to the stock bulbs. Been running them for over 6 months now without trouble (knock on wood).

So if you want a quick and cheap boost for your lights, grab some silverstars and then swap to HID's down the road.

wanna buy my set?

I plugged one in to compare versus the OEM and there was zero difference so I immediately removed it and proceeded to install the HIDs.

Congratulations on the new KK.
If you would like to have the MPG feature, I recommend the purchase of a ScangageII. One of the best $150 you could invest in the vehicle.. It is a true Plug n Play installation and can be programmed to read and record a wealth of information. It is also a scan tool should you ever need to retrieve a trouble code from the CPU of the Jeep.
They are not vehicle specific, meaning you can transfer one from vehicle to vehicle.

Do everyone else on the road a favor, and stay away from HID kits unless you plan on cracking open your headlamp housing and replacing the halogen setup with projectors that are designed to handle HID bulbs properly and safely.

Nice ride though. I've been looking at the exact same thing. I found one that was loaded up for just over 25k, but I didn't bite.
