Anything new (or improved) in the 2011 KK?

There were material improvements in '09 vs. '08; little or nothing in '10 vs. '09. What, if anything, is planned for '11? Anybody heard?

Here is whats new in 2011 Liberty.:
The 2011 Jeep Liberty will have new features: standard cruise control, Jeep-branded [COLOR=blue! important][COLOR=blue! important]steering [COLOR=blue! important]wheel[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR], upgraded interior trim, and an optional navigation system with traffic, fuel prices, and weather updates. While the Liberty Renegade will enter its first full model year, the entry-level Sport is expected to be the big seller, claiming nearly three quarters of sales.
Jeep Liberty has best in class four wheel drive technology and [COLOR=blue! important][COLOR=blue! important]towing[/COLOR][/COLOR] capacity (5,000 lb with sway control), best in class sunroof opening with SkySlider roof, and flexible seating and cargo options. Three new paint colors, blackberry pearl, deep cherry crystal pearl, and bright white, are available for available for 2011

What this tells me is, when buying a used '09-'11 KK, mileage and condition will determine value; not features.

cant wait for the pentastar in the KK, hopefully some time next year.
i might switch mine for a pentastar KK once its gonna b available

I read somewhere that Fiat plans to kill the Liberty in '13, replacing it and the Patriot with a Euro-based 4X4 branded as a "Jeep". The thinking is that market growth for these vehicles will mostly be outside the US, so there's no reason to continue with a US-built platform.

If true, the PentaStar (and the 5-speed) will probably never make it into a KK.

I plan to take real good care of my KK, so that maybe it'll last as long (and well) as my '93 Cherokee did (16 years - 250K).

imho way too much electronics, i think after 5 years KK is going to start having electrical issues and its going to be a big pain to troubleshoot, i work on my cars myself and its getting harder and harder to pinpoint these electrical problems. i used to have an old school russian suv vaz-2121 niva, that thing would last you ages due to the minimum amount of electrical components, cant say the same about the KK, majority of the TSBs now are either electrical or programming errors from what ive seen

Good point. The Cherokee's were sure straight-forward and "owner friendly" from the maintenance point of view.

im also thinking of getting a TJ or an old cherokee and making it a project car, KK is a good daily driver and can haul a lot but the aftermarket parts variety is nothing comparing to the wrangler or cherokee. i love my KK but if they gonna stop making them then i'll just stick to wranglers jeep wise and get smth else to tow my cars to the race track

The Liberty in its current form will be gone in 2013, and I havent seen anything that says the penastar engine will be in the current Liberty.I dont think Chrysler will make anymore powertrain changes knowing in '13 it will be a new platform,here is some news on that:
Jeep ‘Liberty’

Based on the D-evo (stretched C-evo) platform, this new model replaces the Liberty. (Editor’s note: This model would probably be a Jeep design using Fiat dimensions and basic architectures.)

The next Jeep Liberty will use the same key dimensions as new C and D class (midsized) cars in 2013, so that as Jeep and car orders fluctuate, the same factory can vary its output rather than have one plant idle while another works overtime. The Liberty could be a “real Jeep” that just shares key dimensions with mid-sized cars. The Nitro is not expected to continue.
