I have two jeeps. My KK and a GC. I cant get either of them the garage door openers programed. The book says that if its a newer garage door, then you need the instructions that came with the opener because its a rolling code or something like that.
I have a problem in that the manual says when the car alarm is on the Homelilnk door opener is disabled.
I have a 2008 with the 3 buttons on the visor. I just now tried the opener after locking the veh with the remote lock. I was able to open the garage door.
Is there maybe a computer fix at the dealer for this?
I believe it shuts it off after a bit... when the vehicle "goes to sleep"... so to say.... so it will still work for a few minutes after hitting the lock / arm button.
Try this... park it and lock it with the window open just enough to reach in and hit the button. Then wait like an hour and see if hitting the button opens the garage door.
Have your remote handy in case you mistakenly activate the alarm.....
Thanks josworth. Your approach is correct. I waited over 30 min because i forgot what i was doing and went to something else (old)
I'll test the exact timing so i know if it's 2min or 30...
