Hunt thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it. So just to recap you say go 7.5 rim no wider. And if i go 16 that is the biggest as well as the 17 you mention.

yeah, Tom is right. I wouldn't go any less that 5.5" backspacing on stock suspension and even that might be pushing it depending on the tire size

Holy **** there is nothing out there in a all matte black rim either crager, Black rock or pro comp with that backspacing of 5.5 so basically i cant do anything. It sound to me im going to drop over a $ 1,000 dollars and my jeep will look the same unless i get a lift

What if I go 255/70/16 with a 16inch wheel 4.5 back spacing. There is a guy on here that has it setup this way with no lift.

Don't hit any bumps. You might smash your fenders

But in all seriousness. Those are the same size tires as I have only with a 16" rim instead of a 17" rim (still 30" tire, still 255 treadwidth). Without any offroad driving at all, this is what my tires did to my wheelwells.

And my BS is only 5.25". If you have 4.5" BS it will be even worse

Look on this site there are afew people that have the black rims that look good. Shoot them a message asking or start a thread posting picks with lifts and rim/tire info. Where they post pictures. That would be cool to scroll through and look at.
