what size ( width and backspacing ) can you buy them in

Looks like most all come in 8.5 inches wide
way too wide of a wheel
need 7 inch wide and as close to possible the same backspacing as stock if unlifted

This might be true for a KJ but I ran 8.5" rims on my stock suspension for a year without issues. Backspacing is 5.25"

So you think I can get these rims with 255/65/17 without any issues?

If your suspension is sagging you might have slight rubbing at full lock in reverse. Also, don't plan on any offroading

no
going to rub in the front and rear of the front wheelwells
too wide and backspacing sucks for a KJ/KK either one
no matter what some say

Tom, I ran with 255/65R17 on an 8.5" rim for a year and the only time it ever rubbed was at full lock in reverse when the stock suspension started sagging. It also only rubbed on the front of the wheelwell. This was only for normal on road driving. I wouldn't have dared going off road with stock suspension and this setup.

Yes have seen a couple try and run them, wouldn't drive 50 foot
but whatever floats your boat, just trying to save the OP some headaches down the road
Plus not knowing the backspacing of either can make a HUGE difference

Hunt your sporting the same rims and tires right? But you have a lift on your imagine. What is the biggest rim size and tire I can go with without a lift right now. Thanks

Oh I totally agree and if I had to do it again I would have gotten a lift first before getting that large of a rim and tire. There was absolutely no room for flex with the stock suspension. All I'm saying is that it is possible

Sar if you strictly use your Jeep on road you can get away with a 255/65R17 on an 8.5" rim with 5.25" of backspacing but trust me, if your suspension is sagging you will have rubbing. I would stick with a 245/70R16 or 245/65R17 on a 7.5" wide rim and you should be set
