Airbag light on / controle module switch?

Hi,

Have a problem with my airbag light that has come on.
No codes when using regular "code check".
Was told that it is likely to bee the airbag controle unit.

Bought a new controle unit and had it switch out. Light still on. Car was out of power for over an hour during the switch. All contacts seems to be untouched and are plugged in.

Do you need to program a new factory unit to work?

Thanks.

/Z
