airbag light

Just went to the dealer today for an airbag light. They had to replace the orc module and do 3 updates... said there was an open recall on the orc . Why didn't I receive notice from jeep or from my dealer on this? Anyone else have this same issue?

2011 Sport. They replaced ORC module. I did receive notice.

Recall was for 2011-2012 Jeep Liberty vehicles manufactured June 17, 2011, through August 15, 2012.

Edit: Like said in the next post. You may have to register it to receive notice. That's the first thing I did when I bought mine so they knew I was in possession. The link the next post is the place to register.

You would get the notice from Chrysler (the manufacturer) not the dealer. Recall notices are sent to the address on record.

You can maintain your vehicle's owner information online using the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of any 1987 or newer Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep® or FIAT vehicle you own. This will ensure that any vehicle recalls, Customer Satisfaction Notifications or other required announcements are promptly delivered.

You can go here.

Creating an account is a very simple 2 step process. Once you've selected the Create Account feature, you'll be taken to the Owner Registration page. After you've successfully registered, you'll be able to log-in using your email address and password, as well as register your vehicle using your VIN.

You can also lick on Contact Us to let us know of any address change.
