air leak sound from engine bay?

Hi all, I have an 08 KK with 66k on the clock. It used to run pretty nicely when I got it about 5 months ago, but seems like sluggish lately, no check engine light or anything, but i do notice a slight hissing type sound when Im under the hood, cant really pinpoint where its coming from. It seems that when you hit the gas, the truck just sounds terrible, like its struggling. Any ideas on what to look for regarding the air leak sound? Forgive me, Im a bit of a NEWB, and would like to try and fix this without a shop as I don't have alot of spare $$ right now.

If you could generally tell us what part of the engine the hissing sound is coming from (Front/rear/drivers/passengers/under, etc.), that could help us narrow it down for you. If mine got suddenly sluggish I'd begin by replacing the spark plugs and air filter, do an oil change, and check the fluids and see if that takes care of it. You could also take it to AutoZone to have them read any pending codes from the engine (even though your CEL isn't on yet).

Also at 66K your KK is due for new plugs anyway (every 30,000 miles). Be sure they are copper core plugs (not platinums or E3's) and are gapped properly.

Hey all, so i narrowed down where the sound is coming from, its somewhere around where the steering fluid filler area is, is that a vac canister to the right of it?
