Well since the beginning of the new year at each fill up my average was
17.11, 17.21, 14.23 - I was using 4wd quite a bit

When you get knee-deep in a situation, floor it.

130 miles on the tank....I'm about to hit the mark for 1/8 left. I think I'm doing quite well...

On a side note, I'm at about 32k miles so I know I need plugs. I have a feeling that's killing my mileage...

I guess that could be my issue a but too. Just hit 40k on stock plugs.

You'll be amazed how much better your KK will run if you change out the plugs..

Now is that just the normal lifespan of plugs on the Libby or is that just the stock plugs?

The Liberty uses copper plugs. So they need to be changed every 30k miles. Don't use a different plug to not change as frequent cause that could lead to issues.

Just filled up, 8.6mpg. And yes, I did correct for the larger tires lol. We had a snow storm this week, and I know plugs need changing. I barely used 4wd. I stay in rwd unless I'm starting on a hill or need to take of quickly(which only happened 2 or 3 times).

Change those plugs!
I usually rant how easy it is to change plugs, but apparently on the "newer" KK's it's not as easy as the 2008-2010.
Only place I could find the NGK plugs was at the dealer FYI.

Did you meet John(jeepin_it_reel) when you were on the island? He has 4.56 gears, and he's spinning 265/75-16s.

And Gage, yeah I know I have to. It's just really cold lately and I don't wanna leave the house unless I have to lol

Let me ask this, does the KJ get better mileage normally due to its slightly more aerodynamic body compared to the Refrigerator box we drive?

From what I've seen on the forums, yes. Usually it's about 1mpg better or so. It's not much. I'd say for the most part we're all even. I've seen some KJs get a lot worse mileage compared to a KK.
