2012 Liberty Jerking Issue

Sorry if this has already been talked about before. I did a quick search and couldn't find anything. I just bought a used 2012 Jeep Liberty Sport, Has 30K miles on it.

What its doing is when I'm driving say 60mph and the RPMs are at 1500. The jeep will have a small jerk to it. Its very small but very annoying.

I took it to the dealership and he said its something to do with the programing for something called full/patial lock up ? Any thoughts....

Maybe the Torque Converter Clutch locking and unlocking due to a break in program?

Normal. The 42RLE transmission is pretty . . . . unrefined . . . lets use that word.

I've driven a 2006 and a 2011 both with the 42RLE, and they shift hard between first and second, and often times between other gears too. It's a Jeep.

Nature of the beast, unless you need to change your spark plugs.
