2012 Lease Return

So I am coming up on turning in my lease for my 12 Liberty. So far, absolutely love it but only have about 19,500 miles. We got a good deal when we bought it, so I can buy it out for under 10k. Any thoughts? I really would like to keep it for another 10 years, but don't want to get stuck with a money pit.

$10K for a KK with only 19,500 miles on it sounds like a steal! Not only that but you know the history of the vehicle (since it was yours) so it isn't really a used car in the typical sense. Does it have a good warranty that carries over? Does it have a sky slider? That would be the only reason I would say to hesitate, as some people have needed significant repairs to their sky sliders recently. Glad you love your KK. I would say go for it.

Yeah if you don't have a skyslider go for it. I'm now going on 8 weeks for my skyslider repair.

Yeah, they had 6k off when we bought it. I still have a few months, but I would still be under 21,000 at turn in. No sky slider thankfully.

Wow... I'm with others here, buy it... Heck if you have regret, you could still sell it in a second for 12 even if it has no options, with the mileage on it.

Almost impossible to get anything today for a price that puts instant equity in your back pocket. With that low of a residual, they are hoping and praying you turn it in. So, I'll say it again, even if you decide you don't want to keep it, buy it out and flip it.

That's a good idea. Yeah, I know they are hoping to get it back. It's been great so far, and I kind of like the idea that it was the last year for them.

Ha! Yeah, 6'7". One of the main reasons I like it is the head room. Has about the same as my 06 GC and much more leg room than the 99 and 02 Wranglers

Nice KK. Happy to see it has the 16 inch rims and even the raised roof rails. Does it have fog lights, too?

No fogs. Yeah, assuming we keep it I was hoping to find the crossbars for it so I can drop a Thule box on the top for trips.
