2011 body paints

New to forum. Glad to see the site. My question has to do with 2011 body paint. Understand present paints are non-lead. Is it me,these new paints don't appear to be as robust as paints on my '05's models. Seem to scratch more readily.

Any advice on upkeep?

I dont think it scratches that easily I managed to get 4 scratches on mine. 1 from a rock that came flying from a truck and scraped the hood, 1 from my niece swinging the door into my sisters car, and 2 from when I backed into a bench.

These Upstate Ne York winters are hard on the paint job. The ice leaves many hair-line scratches in the body paint that must be rubbed out. Nothing is dug through the paint. The silver-grey paint on this 2011 Renegade took it on the nose.

Had 3-Renegades, one Liberty sport, and two Wranglers. Think the worse was an '04 red Rubicon. It seemed to have a clear coat showing everything.

Unusual for a off-road vehicle IMHO.

See you all on Campus.
