2010 Liberty Gas Filler Neck...

Ok...sorta stupid question but I'm asking anyways.

Someone got into my Jeep the other night (not locked ) and took a few minor things...no biggie except for the fact that it was my ***** and it pizzes me off.

Ok now I'm looking at everything and since I don't have a locking fuel cap I just orderd one.

When putting gas into the Jeep I've noticed that the filler neck thingy that you put the gas nozzle in is just a hole...is this the way it's supposed to be ?

I remember on my previous Jeep Cherokee that it had a cover or plate that would push open when you put the gas nozzle into the filler neck. When adding fuel injection cleaner and such you would have to slide something down to push it open so the clener would go in. My current Liberty is just an open hole that anything small could fit in and go into the tank...again...is this right or has it been tampered with ?

Thanks.

Thanks. With the price of gas plus the fact that someone messed with my Liberty it made me wonder if someone had messed with it or not.
