2009 Liberty Airbag question...

Is it possible for a 2009 coming from a rental fleet to be without side airbags? Thanks!

Yes anything is possible, but side curtain airbags are standard on all 2008 KK and up. I would not buy it, NEVER COMPROMISE ON SAFETY! NEVER!

Pull off the A-pillar interior cover and see. It just pulls right off (and is designed to come off if the side airbag deploys). It is easy to put back on. I doubt a KK could've been built or purchased without side airbags. However, it the side airbags had deployed from an accident, someone may not have paid to have them returned to ready status.

If your going to pull off any panel where an airbag is i would disconnect the batter for 30 minutes to prevent an accidental deployment.

are you talking about the car not having them originally or that they were not replaced after the car was in the accident? for 08 09 models its pretty ez to check by the vin number, if the 3rd one is 4 - no curtain airbags, if the number is 8 then youhave them
