2008 Liberty 3.7, Quick hitch & Tune up question

First, please disregard my ignorance since im sure my answers can be found with 15-20 minutes of searching... im not new to the "forum" world by any means.

It's been a long day. I just traded in my 2008 GMC Sierra Denali on a 2008 Jeep Liberty Sport 3.7L 4x4. Basically cut my car payment over 1/2 and I now owe $13k less... sort of a "family" decision since my 13 month old son started daycare in September and thats been kicking my ***.

Ok enough with the rambling.

Question 1:
The jeep has just under 36k miles. I'm thinking the 3.7L is like the 5.7L that's in my commander and i should replace the plugs every 3yrs/36k miles right? If so, does anyone have the OEM replacement part number and the gap & torque values for this vehicle?

Question 2:
Jeep didn't come with a hitch so i'd like to put one on. Primarily for a hitch mounted bike rack.... Is there a "preferred" hitch brand for these jeeps?

Again, i'm going to be searching for these answers tomorrow.. just a but exhausted from spending a few hours at the dealer today after work. I'm very active on a lot of forums, so if you guys are anything like me, im sure the above information is common knowledge for most so it'll only take a few seconds to link me to a thread or two with the answers . If not, i'll find em tomorrow when im a bit more relaxed

Very nice vehicles! that denali looks so weet with those 35's.

Skier, perform a routine maintenace on your libby. Check for transfer case leak, if there is a leak, have the seal replaced.

My car is driven EVERYDAY so this is my maintenance schedule:
Spark plugs every 6 months.
Oil change every 2000 miles.
Engine coolant, once a year
Differential fluid, once a year.
Transmission fluid, once a year.

I use the stock NGK spark plugs.

Check this OEM t-hitch, a bit pricey but...

The best hitch is the Mopar hitch because it doesnt hang down low like all the others. The spark plugs are NGK ZFR6F-11G 6987. Amazon.com: NGK (6987) ZFR6F-11G V-Power Spark Plug, Pack of 1: Automotive . These are what i used, i only stick with OEM on the spark plugs, its not worth buying the expensive ones.

Awesome, thanks guys.

I may just pick up some plugs at the dealer today when I drop off the spare denali key. Hate to see it go.... but the payment wasn't worth it especially with a 2nd baby on the way.

Is the torque spec 20 ft-lbs for the spark plugs? I read that in a wiki link but not sure if its accurate. And I assume the required plug gap is listed in the placard under the hood....

For fluids.... anything Jeep specific? I know with my commander the coolant and tcase is very sensitive.... I'd imagine the same coolant is used in the 3.7, but the tcase may not require the same fluid as the QD-II system.

One other question I thought of today. I have the uconnect button but when I press it I get the "option not available" message. What do I need to get uconnect working in this thing? I'm an ex ASE tech so I have no problem tearing apart the dash to install modules (rather do it myself anyways to make sure I dont end up with rattles afterwards).

Is jparts.com the best place to get the hitch & wiring kit? Looks like the hitch is $190 and wiring harness is $118...

You sure? I thought you only need to have the ECU programmed if you want to make use of the 7 pin for trailer brake control. If you have a 4 pin trailer (no brake controller) it should just be plug and play....

If that's not the case, ill spend $20 on a 4 pin wire and tap into the tail lights like we used to do before everything came pre wired with connectors.

it might b just for brakes, im not sure, but thats what ive read before, and you only need it if you going to tow something heavy.

I just changed out my spark plugs... sooo much easier than my 5.7L

How does the drain on these radiators work? I'm going to drain/fill the coolant (50/50 mix oem HOAT & distilled water). I turned the drain tab 90 degrees and nothing came out. I'd imagine i need to pull on it now.... but wanted to check to make sure thats how its supposed to work before trying and breaking something
