2008 KK Door Locks?

Last week I noticed that the drivers side rear door lock would lock but not unlock. I found it odd that hitting the lock button would pull the lock down but tapping unlock it just stays down. I took part of the door apart and got the first panel off then found out there was a second panel that was still hiding the lock part of the door.

Anyone had this issue before?

Wondered if this was something I might be able to fix myself or will I need to take to the dealer to get this fixed. When I got down to the inner panel I noticed it looked like you had to take apart the window motor which I'm not real comfortable with doing.

Thanks

I am in the same boat. Thankfully, mine was 'on the house' at the dealer since they have taken so long with my other repair. Definitely dealer related though I'd say.

My passenger and driver's side front door locks have a mind of their own.

That's probably a different issue entirely. Mine was related to failed latches and actuators and a bad relay.

Guess I'll be stopping by the dealer sometime to have that looked at then.

Probably for the best. I spent days pulling apart my doors and removing the glass and got nowhere by myself.

Wow...Many of us have plenty of technical knowledge...

Many new vehicles have very limited resources available outside the professional realm. IE downloadable service manuals.

Be careful how you jump in on forums....

Sometimes the guy you look down on has the directions.....................
